10:28 MTDiscord <lizelive> @warr1024 hey i saw you talking about websockets. any updates? was looking at the net code trying to scope out. but I don't know too much about c++ ecosystem. is https://github.com/zaphoyd/websocketpp a good lib? also concerned about moving from to websocket with retries and such. webtransport would be neet but lack of ecosystem
11:08 MTDiscord <warr1024> I don't know much about websockets in C++. Mostly I've worked with them myself in nodeJS, and have seen done in Golang. Currently all I've done with it are custom proxies, like https://gitlab.com/Warr1024/wgows, and integrating it directly into MT would be new territory.
13:00 erle btw, i made a new sticker motive for go users: https://mister-muffin.de/p/cdgo.png celeron55 take note ;)
14:01 lissobone yoooooooooOOOOOOOO
14:01 lissobone that sticker is unexpectedly sick
14:01 lissobone no, as in cool, not as in ill
14:01 lissobone malice with intent
16:21 MTDiscord <maintainer_> I’m just wondering, if you write a personal message to a IRC user, will he see this message or is the system working here so that some function transfers the message from the IRC channel to this channel
16:22 celeron55 it is a bridge which copies any discord messages onto the corresponding irc channel and from the irc channel to discord
16:22 rubenwardy you cannot send DMs from the Discord bridge, you need to log into IRC to do that
16:23 celeron55 and it doesn't do anything else than that
16:23 celeron55 when you see a message from irc on the discord channel, what you see is a bot that changes its name every time a new message arrives
16:24 celeron55 (probably not exactly, but essentially so)
16:38 muurkha nice, I didn't know that was how it worked
