01:18 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> oh yeah, all modstorage keys are strings, right? So anything else gets converted... ehh...
01:51 * cheapie hmms at the statistics on an LTC-4000E at some random pedestrian crossing happily reporting "Last cleared: 3026 days ago"
01:52 cheapie Remind me to check at the end of May 2044 to see if it's still there at 10000 days
01:53 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> what does clearing the LTC-4000E do?
01:53 cheapie It's a traffic light controller, it maintains traffic counts, you can clear those to restart counting if you want
01:53 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> ah, it has a counter
01:53 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> does it actually count vehicles and pedestrians, or just cycles?
01:54 cheapie Counts number of cycles, total time spent waiting on each phase, and also the time/date it was last cleared
01:54 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> traffic in Luanti usually isn't that bad, so I can't imagine needing to redo the lights
01:54 cheapie 3026 days ago (2017-01-13) was MineDOT's big rollout of the LTC-4000E on VE-C, so a lot of them have that as their installation date
01:55 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> but if you needed to do that, would you feel sad aout removing it?
01:55 cheapie Perhaps :P
01:55 cheapie I have one that's out in the middle of nowhere and has been averaging 2.6 cycles per real-life year
01:56 cheapie The "busy" ones usually average about once per day
01:56 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> Advtrains has signs of aging too: old train IDs vs new, and now old automatic track section numbers with more digits
01:56 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> oh so they run on detectors? or just are unloaded most of the time?
01:56 cheapie They typically run on detectors
01:57 cheapie Although they do also "go to sleep" when unloaded, so even if you do select timed mode they still don't run if nobody is anywhere near them
01:59 cheapie re: ID numbers - celevator uses sequential ID numbers, so you can generally get some idea of how long ago one was installed based on the ID number.
02:00 cheapie On VE-C the highest is currently 1575
02:00 cheapie I think the oldest one still running is 7, with the oldest in regular passenger service being 9
02:01 cheapie Oldest multi-car group on VE-C is 16 and 17, with the dispatcher being 18

03:36 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> AND grimshot only gets a 1080 scale version of my game window
03:36 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> even running sway at double or quad scale
03:39 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> xwayland on a stale 5.12-dev
