Why is there lag in singleplayer? For example putting items in another cell causes them to be in the same position for a split second then finally being placed in the correct one, and mobs jerk around when hit. |

*server lag, not lag in general |

singleplayer is just a server with single client |
| 07:12 |
sfan5 |
and if the mod or C++ code on the server takes too long then the client prediction (if it exists) will cause the lag to become visible |

infotext is almost definitely translatable, try it |
| 17:58 |
rubenwardy |
textdomains are global, so you should use one named the same as your mod |

<luatic> mazes_85: infotext for mods is called description |

<luatic> I don't think it is translatable, but IIRC there was some effort to make it be |
| 20:15 |
mazes_85 |
luatic: thx, my bad: mods -> nodes |
| 20:19 |
mazes_85 |
rubenwardy: if textdomain are global I should be able to minetest.translate("other_mod_domain", "other mod already translated string") from "my_mod_with_lot_of_identical_strings" ? seems to fail |
| 20:21 |
rubenwardy |
What does fail mean |
| 20:21 |
rubenwardy |
Remember that this doesn't immediately translate, it returns marked up text to translate on the client |
| 20:22 |
rubenwardy |
You also can't translate into English, only from English |

I've heard manjaro is easy to use. and pacman is very nice compared to apt. I'm using arch, btw. |
