<exe_virus> Probably WinRAR and others can too, but base windows cannot. But yeah it's basically the same as a .zip for power users |

just do portable, exe installer, and msi installer for a wide variety |

<landarvargan> Krock: Yeah, I was just thinking from a normie Windows user perspective though. I was using a self-compiled Windows build of Luanti before I knew you could extract exes like a zip file |

<landarvargan> Quite a lot of the installers in my Downloads directory are .exe, so NSIS seems like the best option to me. I wonder how it handles updating existing installations (with newer and older version installers) |

<exe_virus> Well in the NSIS that sfan posted, it looks like it just updates the shortcut on the desktop to the latest, and puts each version into its own folder in the user folder. Unsure if it also puts mods/games into each version, or in a shared location.... |
