random test result: I thought decreasing mesh_buffer_min_vertices might be reasonable now, but after testing 3 devices the result is: didn't matter at all on pc. on phone any value >= 50 was a light improvement. laptop with intel igpu surprisingly showed a somewhat linear increase in fps with increase of this setting. |

conclusion: we can keep the current default of 300 |

Interesting testing results. So there's still some overhead with the mesh buffer present |

crazy idea: public test server jointly run by the core dev team with lots of mods |
| 21:24 |

<wsor4035> why? |
| 21:25 |
MTDiscord |
<wsor4035> if just to make sure stuff doesnt break, ci test will do the same. tho i suspect your tired of using ve servers etc for rendering tests? |
| 21:26 |
MTDiscord |
<wsor4035> if your wanting the latter, then you may run into why mtg got shut down, and moderation concerns |

<sheriff_u3> Plus have the server run off of latest master, recompiling every day when there's no one on. |

<bastrabun> How about existing servers send you their mod set so you can experiment on those? |

If you want the mod set off of VE-C as a base for the "lots of mods", it runs these on top of Dreambuilder: https://github.com/VE-Creative-Server/worldmods |
