22:46 ireallyhateirc well, this permissive model has pros and cons, but Blender community works just fine with paid addons that come under GPLv3 so it's not like strong copyleft kills commercial uses altogether

23:26 ireallyhateirc luatic, also with small patches I probably wouldn't care or wouldn't be able to tell the game is non-vanilla (the copyright owner is the only one who can enforce copyright). Though if someone was brewing a huge fork with many features and would refuse to publish the source then I'd simply sue them. I don't work in my free time to empower someone's proprietary services.
