I sorta figured out the methods that pushes a table to the Lua stack (lua_newtable, lua_pushboolean, lua_setfield). But it's way more difficult to find code that parses a table from the Lua stack. Could someone point me in the right direction? |

with the table on the stack, you do lua_getfield(L, index_of_table_in_stack, "field_name"), that pushes it to the stack in turn |
