06:18 sfan5 the reason for that is that the server does not perform collision checks for the player
06:20 crabycowman123 Could an engine update allow for registering collision callbacks to the client? It would only work for new clients in that case
06:21 crabycowman123 The server could send a list of nodes, and the client could let the server know when it collides with any of those nodes.
06:28 FeXoR joined #luanti
06:39 sfan5 the solution is mods running on the client directly
06:53 crabycowman123 yes
06:55 crabycowman123 but then you may have to be a bit more careful about which servers you join, if you want to avoid running nonfree software (depends a lot on implementation I guess)

12:37 [MatrxMT] <Blockhead256> boosting this because I feel slightly bad about the visibility after deleting a machine translated version of the post https://forum.luanti.org/viewtopic.php?p=451444#p451444
12:44 sfan5 the server list being blocked too is news to me

21:41 Sheriff_U3 How would/could that be enforced? That would require every SSCSM to declare what license it's under. But then the question would arise: If the client refuses to run a SSCSM will that mean the player is kicked from the server, or will it try to run without SSCSM?
21:43 Sheriff_U3 (I'm referring to clients refusing SSCSM on account of their license.)

22:36 MTDiscord <the4spaceconstants2181> the SSCSM may also declare if it's a required one or not, if not, it's fine, if yes, then the join is blocked
